Top of the tree as it were. Our Exclusive shutters are Hand Made in Manchester using a combination of CNC drilling machines and time honoured craftsmanship. All the Exclusive range comes with innovations which set then apart from other shutters and they exude serious quality. Normally a shutter uses staples between the tilt bar and louvre (nothing wrong with them they are functional and economic) on the Exclusive we use a nylon hinge this provides a smooth rattle free operation that feels sublime in its action.

Again, shutters normally come with flush hinges, where as the Exclusive range uses recessed butt hinges in either polished stainless Steel (looks like chrome but will never rust) or solid Brass. All the hinges are graded at 50 kilo so will never breakdown, ever. Our Exclusive range is available in any colour, stain or finish to match your décor. All these are standard and included in the price. Frames and fittings are custom made to match existing architrave and installation.

To complete our range and to provide you with more choice, we also “out source” a range of shutters which means we can offer the most comprehensive choice of shutters available.

They are still all bespoke and custom made using the most sophisticated machinery available All joints are mortise and tenon and the paint and stain finishes are to be seen to be believed. We offer a Premium; Mid-Premium and Economic range. There is no difference in how they are constructed just the material used.

PREMIUM RANGE

CEDAR

This is a beautifully manufactured shutter in Western Red Cedar which offers true value for money as it is the same price as other prime timbers. In its natural form Cedar has no parallel with its long straight grain and fabulous colours it looks superb where a rustic feel is required. Available in 5 louvre styles and 7 shades of white or two stains. For Custom colours please add 15% on the top of the price.

AMERICAN BASS WOOD

Custom made shutters using kiln dried basswood or American Lime as it is sometimes referred too. This is a robust hardwood from renewable resources chosen because of its uniform colour and proven resistance to warping. Engineered with laminated veneered core. Available in 16 shades of white and 35 colours. Plus 6 styles of louvre.

LOCKWOOD

We offer two types of timber in the Mid-Premium range, both very light woods making them ideal for shutter construction but they have very different graining and create different effects. Both are engineered timbers having laminated veneered cores which make both timbers very stable. Available with 3 styles of louvre; 7 paints and 17 stains.

THERMALITE

Developed in the USA Thermalite Shutters look and feel like wood, but do have qualities that surpass wood. It is actually made from polymer foam a 100% synthetic material. It is non toxic, water resistant and fire retardant. It has insulation properties twice that of wood, it has a painted finish that will not yellow. Guaranteed for 10 years it will not warp or crack. Guaranteed for 25 years. Easy wipe clean surface that has anti static qualities that repel dust. Available in 3 shades of white.
Lead Time: Manufactured under licence at our factory in Manchester. So the lead time is a unbelievable 2 weeks.

CRAFT WOOD

It may be classed as the Economy shutter but this is the best selling shutter in the UK and should not attract any stigma. Stand two feet away and you would not have a clue what it was made of. It looks fabulous. Made from Craft wood or Low Density Fibre board it has a laminated veneer core which is base wrapped and polymer sealed. A truly robust shutter that is wipe clea; useful in a household with young children. Available in 3 louvre styles and 3 shades of white. Not available as tier on tier. Quite a heavy material so there may be some limitations on installation.
